Xi Graphics Announces Solaris 8 Support On Accelerated-X
New support patch can be downloaded and installed from Xi Web site

DENVER – Xi Graphics' Accelerated-X Display Server now supports the Solaris 8 platform. The announcement follows the recent release of Sun's Solaris 8. Details are available by visiting the Xi Graphics Web site at www.xig.com and clicking on "Hot News."

"We've placed a binary patch for the laptop, desktop, or multi-head Accelerated-X Display Servers on our Web site," said Lee Roder, Xi Graphics’ National Sales Manager. "Customers can select the appropriate patch and download the one they need."

Roder said that the Solaris support will be incorporated into the next CD ROM release for the three products, and that the binary patch was being posted for download by customers that wanted to migrate to the new operating system immediately. "Solaris is used by a large segment of our customer base in industry, government and military, so we tend to be responsive to their needs," he said.
